My final icing sugar from Sugar and Crumbs to bake with was Pink Lemonade flavour. I decided to make meringue kisses with this flavour.
This was the first time I had ever made these so I was very apprehensive about what they would turn out like and whether they would be too sweet. I wasn’t quite sure what a “pink lemonade” flavour would taste like either.
Using the Philppa Sibley recipe again, I whisked the meringues. I added a line of red colour paste down the inside of a piping bag and added the meringue to the bag. I piped small kisses onto parchment paper and baked in the oven until dry and crisp.
The meringue kisses are amazing – the pink lemonade flavour reminds me of an old fashioned boiled sweet!
